«Apple» announced the detention of two candidates for the State Duma in Moscow

Privater Entwurf

In Moscow, two candidates for the State Duma from «Apple» — Anna Shatunovskaya-Burno and Grigory Grishin — were detained. Shatunovskaya-Burno is being taken to the Yakimanka police station, and three men in plain clothes came to Grishin’s home and asked him to go to the Akademichesky police station to draw up an administrative report.

Shatunovskaya-Burno is running in the Preobrazhensky single-mandate district No. 204. According to the candidate in her Telegram channel, she was detained when leaving home and is being taken under the article on displaying extremist symbols — Article 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses.

Grishin was nominated in the Leningradsky single-mandate district No. 197. According to the party, three men in plain clothes came to his home and asked him to accompany them to the Akademichesky police station to draw up an administrative report; the article of the report is still unknown.

On September 1 in Moscow, another candidate for the State Duma from «Apple» — Artem Snegovsky — was detained near the territorial election commission of the Maryino district. The party stated that he was charged under the article on discrediting the Armed Forces of Russia — Article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, and after the report was drawn up, he was released from the police station.

Later, the press service of «Apple» clarified that the reason for Snegovsky’s detention was his 2022 post. Since the beginning of 2022, according to the party, criminal cases have been opened against 12 of its members, and another 40 have been searched.

Nine representatives of the party also received administrative reports under the article on displaying extremist symbols, as a result of which, as «Apple» claims, they lost the right to participate in the 2026 elections. The State Duma elections will be held on September 18–20.

The CEC registered Apple’s list on July 29, and the party went to the elections under the slogan «For peace and freedom». On August 10, the Supreme Court granted the lawsuit of the Rodina party to cancel the registration of Apple’s federal list, and on August 17, the appellate instance upheld that decision.
